THE GENESIS OF THE K.V

Kendriya Vidyalaya SPG Sector-8,Dwarka was the first Vidyalaya to be opened in the sub city of Dwarka .

The School was founded in 1999 in the SPG Complex.

IMPORTANT MILESTONE OF GROWTH

•  Sept. 1999- School started functioning.

•  Temporary building provided by sponsoring authority i.e. Special Protection Group.

•  4.80 Acres of land earmarked for KV by sponsoring authority i.e. Special Protection Group.

GRADUAL YEAR WISE EXPANSION IN CLASSES AND SECTIONS LEADING TO PRESENT STATUS

•  1999- KV SPG started functioning- classes up to IV (3 section each)

•  2000- Class V started

•  2001- Class VI started

•  2002- Class VII started

•  2003- Class VIII started

•  2005- One more additional section of class I started.

•  2009- Construction of New KV building started.

Class Rooms

The Vidyalaya is having 30 class rooms with necessary electrical fittings.

Resource Room

The Vidyalaya has 2 Resource Rooms(Primary & Secondary) with computer, 29' TV,

DVD Player, LCD Projector, Over head Projector and PA system. This room is utilized

for computer aided teaching of different subjects, workshops, value education and special programmes on guidance and counseling etc.

Computer Labs

The Vidyalaya has 2 computer labs(Primary & secondary) with broad band internet facilities.

Games & Sports

As the School is running in temporary building, so we have no specific sports fields.
